Gibson Les Paul - Re-fret - Before During & After
Kristians' beloved Gibson Les Paul had been causing him grief. After numerous quick fixes elsewhere, It was time to get it professionally sorted.
The best option in the end was to Re-fret.
Kristian wanted to maintain the original feel, so I re-fretted using original Gibson spec fret wire.
I used a harder density fret wire (18% Nickel) for a longer life-span than the previous frets.
I replaced the original corian (Gibson's composite nut materiel) with a bone nut; with slots cut to even string spacing.
**Even string spacing allows even spacing between all strings. Standard string spacing places the wound E and A strings closer together and the plain E and B strings further apart.**
