Best quality pot I've ever used, Smooth audio taper, Available in 250k, 500k, solid, & spline shaft

 

 

Potentiometers 250k vs. 500k

  • 500K-ohm pots are used with humbuckers
  • 250Ks are used with single-coil pickups.
  • 25K pots are used for active systems.

The higher the resistance, the warmer the tone. This is for both the pots and the tone cap.

This is all personal choice, and all depends on the pickups, guitar, and amp you use.

Heat shrink applied over the connected contact, strengthens the connections, inhibits corrosion, contacts touching and shorting out, for years and years of reliability.

So often people change pickups to improve their tone. I recommend, in Korean, Chinese, guitars, to replace the pots, jack, switch and wire as well. These inferior components, can kill tone, and have a far shorter life span.
